This review is only for the restaurant, as we did not stay in the hotel on this trip; though we have before, and would again. The food was excellent, service perfect. The atmosphere is very comfortable and friendly.

Stayed at Hotel De France for one night only in a large bedroom with an enormous bathroom having booked their 'Escapade Prestige' offer. Had the 'Toc Co Que Cal' menu with 9 courses for dinner. It was excellent, delicious with a variety of different foods all beautifully presented & served by very attentive staff. Someone overheard that it was my birthday & I was given a little chocolate cake with a candle on a plate decorated with Happy Birthday. A very nice & thoughtful gesture. Had a good night's sleep in a comfy bed. Breakfast had lots of choice but we were still full from the previous night's meal.

The Hotel de France is my absolute favourite for Sunday lunch. In terms of food, wine, ambiance and service it is truly outstanding. La Grande Salle menu with its focus on local produce demonstrates the very best la sud ouest has to offer and is a brilliant tribute to Andre Daguin.

It is some 25 years since I was last here. Then was good. But now exceptional. At reception a sincere welcome. The family manage the perfect service which was discrete but always at hand. Very well appointed room with great shower all tastefully modernised. As you would expect the gastronomic experience in the heart of Gascony could not be faulted. My next visit hopefully a longer stay.

We had the 3 and 5 course lunch menu. Food was amazing, had beautiful presentation, rightly portioned and comes with excellent service. You have to try the foie gras butter/prune bread and foie gras mousse on mushrooms. Wine was amazing. Better than 3 other Michelin starred restaurants we tried before... highly recommended!! Excellent value!
